Triggerfish

Triggerfish are getting increasingly popular to target on the fly, and the Seychelles are one of the better places for anglers to pursue them. They are most frequently spotted tailing in the coral where they eat crabs and other crustaceans. They are not easy to fool, so be patient. If you're lucky enough to feed one, use your pliers, and keep your fingers away from those chompers!

Lines

A versatile, weight-forward floating line is ideal. Choose from the many great saltwater-specific tapers available from SA and RIO.

Leaders/Tippets

12 ft., 20lb tapered fluorocarbon leaders are your best bet. You need it to be light enough to fool them but heavy enough to keep them out of the coral.
